I could turn out to be the biggest Supermarket in Katakwi

Imalingat Isaac aged 33, is a qualified engineer. But even with such qualifications, Isaac has always had a passion for business. “I started my business of selling general merchandise in 2007”. he says. When I started the business, I did not have any business management skills, so my business was failing but I continued. I did not know whether I was making profits or losses. When I had the Enterprise Uganda announcement on radio, I enrolled for the training.
After the training I right away accepted and “cut the rope”.

I simply changed and started doing things that I was not doing before. I improved on my customer care, record keeping and also started savings. The habit of ploughing back my savings in the business has increased my capital from UGX 6,000,000 to UGX 30,000,000. I have increased employees from 2 before the training to 4 after the training.

My daily sales have also increased from UGX 180,000 before the training to UGX 1,200,000 after the training. I have also started another branch of the supermarket whose estimated value is UGX 10,000,000 in the Neighboring Sub County.

I am also a distribution agency dealing in sodas and beers. I plan to construct the first storeyed building in USuk in 2 years time. I also intend to marry a beautiful wife from a good family. I am also intending to recruit a qualified accountant to help with accounting for my business. My advise to the youth out there is to change their attitudes towards employment. Business is the way to go.
