Thomas’s business is one of 6,990 new enterprises that have been started/expanded through the Northern Uganda Youth Entrepreneurship Project (NUYEP).
The Project has been implemented since June 2013 by Enterprise Uganda
and Youth Business International (YBI) with funding from the Department for International Development (DFID) with the key objective of improving the livelihoods of 10,800 youth in Northern Uganda using a household empowerment approach that
provides mindset change training, business follow up, and personalized support. The project targeted youth aged 18 -35 in the Greater North covering five regions of Acholi, West Nile, Lango, Teso and Karamoja.
